Big 4th quarter helps Blazers down Rebels

University Heights Academy won its fifth straight high school basketball game by defeating visiting Todd County Central 93-75 Monday night in a game that was postponed by weather on Saturday.

The Blazers placed four players in double figures, led by Tylin George’s 36 points. Elijah Walton had 19, Keshawn Moore had 18 and Frank Pollard added 14 for UHA, which improved to 9-11. The Blazers return to action tonight at home against Paducah Tilghman, weather permitting.

UHA jumped out to a 24-18 lead after one quarter and led 46-44 at halftime. The game remained close with UHA enjoying a 65-60 lead entering the final quarter.

The Blazers found their offense in the last quarter and outscored the Rebels 28-15 to pull away for the win.

Todd County was led by JR Cardwell’s 27 points. The Rebels fell to 2-25 on the season. The Rebels are at Trigg County tonight, weather permitting.
