Big 2nd half sends Logan County past Lady Tigers

Logan County outscored Hopkinsville 42-16 in the second half and rolled to a 72-35 girls’ high school basketball win Tuesday night in Tiger Gym.

The Lady Cougars (16-11) held a 14-12 lead after one quarter, but they outscored Hoptown 16-7 in the second period to take a commanding 30-19 halftime advantage.

The Lady Tigers (1-15) couldn’t find their offense in the second half as Logan County was able to pull away.

Serenity Ewing scored 16 points for Hoptown, which lost for the 12th straight time.

The Lady Tigers are scheduled to play Crittenden County on Saturday afternoon in Marion.
