Balanced scoring attack leads HHS past Lady Storm

The Hopkinsville Lady Tigers got a huge victory Saturday over Region 2 rival Hopkins County Central 68-53 in Tiger Gym.

Alicia Davis and LeeLee Love got Hoptown off to a quick start with eight points each in the first quarter as the Lady Tigers grabbed a 23-13 advantage.

Hopkinsville extended the lead to 36-25 at halftime and were never challenged in the second half.

Davis had 18 points and Love added 14 points for the Lady Tigers, who improved to 6-7 on the season. It was the second straight win for Hoptown, which also got 12 points from Dominique Allensworth and 11 points from LaShanti Wilson.

Hoptown is back in action Friday night at Christian County. Airtime for the game is scheduled for 5:45 p.m. on 95.3 The Farm.

Hopkins Central slipped to 8-7 on the season and was led by Tyah White’s 17 points. Calajia Mason added 13.
