Christian County High School senior guard Anaysia Bagwell scored her 2,000th career point Thursday night as the Lady Colonels rolled past host Todd County Central 78-34 in a girls’ high school basketball game.
Bagwell finished the game with 16 points to lead Christian County, which improved to 3-3 on the season. Twelve Lady Colonels scored in the game.
Christian County shrugged off a slow start to take an 18-8 lead after one quarter and extended its lead to 38-16 at halftime.
Carliah Hobson had eight of her nine points in the first half and Bagwell had 11 of her 16 in the first half. She eclipsed the 2,000-point mark with just under 4:00 remaining in the second quarter.
Todd Central slipped to 0-7 and was led by Kathryn Ballard’s 19 points. Chloe Collins added 10.
