The holiday season is drawing near, and to get into the spirit, “The Nutcracker” is coming to the Alhambra Theatre, and tickets are on sale now.
The Pennyroyal Arts Council is partnering with Brooke Bailey Dance Addiction and Gymnastics to host their sixth annual production of “The Nutcracker,” a Christmas-themed ballet that will feature over 80 local dancers.
The ballet runs at the theatre on December 5 and 6 at 6:30 p.m., and December 7 at 2 p.m. On December 6, folks can also watch the performance via livestream.
Before dancers take over the stage, the community is invited to The Nutcracker Tea at the theatre on November 29. Attendees can meet some of the cast members, make holiday crafts and enjoy specialty teas, hot chocolate and snacks.
Funds generated by the Nutcracker Tea will support a newly formed Pennyroyal Arts Council and Brooke Bailey Dance Addiction, Nutcracker Dance Scholarship. Tickets for both the Nutcracker Tea and the show are available at pennyroyalarts.org.
