Alta Alloys to move headquarters to Simpson County

Metal processing company Alta Alloys is set to relocate its headquarters to Simpson County and expand its manufacturing capabilities.

Alta Alloys is currently based in Santa Fe Springs, California and processes titanium, nickel, cobalt and iron-based alloys. The metals produced by the company are used as components in military aircrafts, rockets, satellites, vehicles and other specialized products.

According to a news release from Governor Andy Beshear’s Office, the relocation comes with a $20 million investment and the creation of 45 jobs. By moving to Simpson County, the company will be closer to more of its customers. Alta Alloys President Nick Polites calls the relocation a monumental step for the company and says they were attracted to Franklin for its business-friendly atmosphere that encourages growth.

Simpson County Judge Executive Mason Barnes says Alta Alloys’ investment marks a major economic win for the county and the new jobs will directly support local families. Franklin Mayor Larry Dixon is also thrilled to welcome Alta Alloys and calls it another strong step forward in Franklin’s ongoing success.

Construction is currently underway, and the headquarters is set to open in the first half of 2026.
