UHA’s Kyler Baker signs to play basketball at Lindsey Wilson College

On Tuesday morning, Kyler Baker was surrounded by friends and family at University Heights Academy, as he signed his letter of intent to play at Lindsey Wilson College.

After his signing, Kyler explained how he felt during the occasion.

While most college athletes are known to play their specific sport since they were eligible for youth sports, that wasn’t really the case for Kyler.

While he did play in some small leagues growing up, he really didn’t start playing basketball until the 8th grade.

He spoke on how far he’s come and when he realized he could play at the next level.

This past season in his second year at UHA, Baker managed to average 7.4 points and 6.1 rebounds per game, and helped lead the Blazers to their first 8th district championship since 2021.

Baker spoke on what being at UHA has done for him in his short period there.

As far as why he chose to go to Lindsey Wilson, Baker says the coaching staff was a big reason.

Lastly, Kyler went on to say what about playing college basketball he’s looking forward to the most.
