Christian County High School Names Dior Curtis as New Head Boys Basketball Coach

HOPKINSVILLE, KY (May 3, 2024). On Friday, Christian County High School announced Dior Curtis as Head Coach for the Christian County High School Colonel boys’ basketball team. Curtis has served as the head boys basketball coach at Murray High School for the past seven seasons.  Curtis’ resume includes district and regional titles, and one Sweet 16 appearance in 2022. In 2022, he was named 1st Region Coach of the Year. 

“We are excited to welcome Coach Curtis as our new basketball coach,” said CCHS Principal Kevin Crider. “Coach Curtis brings a strong resume of coaching experience that we believe will guide our players to success. We are excited for the future of Colonel basketball and the positive impact Coach Curtis will have on our school.”

Curtis is a graduate of Kingsbury High School in Memphis TN and attended Murray State University. His coaching career began in 2010 as an assistant coach with Murray High.  He was named head coach of the Murray High Tigers in 2017 where he collected a record of 142-72.

Coach Curtis and his family, Trinity, Riley, and Keagan are excited about the move to Christian County.
