A minor has been arrested following a shooting incident at the Evergreen Apartments on Park Avenue Thursday night.
According to a news release from the Hopkinsville Police Department, officers responded to the apartments for reports of a shot subject. Upon arrival, police secured the scene and provided aid to the injured individual until medical personnel arrived.
Investigation immediately began and reportedly revealed that a juvenile had fired a gun, striking the victim—a bullet also traveled through the victim and into another occupied residence, nearly hitting others.
The juvenile suspect was taken into custody and charged with three counts of wanton endangerment and minor in possession of a handgun.
