The Christian County Agribusiness Association is inviting the community to their annual Salute to Agriculture Breakfast on March 19 where members of the community will be recognized for their agricultural contributions.
Ryan Milauskas from the Association shared that the breakfast will be on March 19 and three awards will be given to members of the community. Awards for Farmer of the Year, Agriculture Business of the Year and Friend to Agriculture will be presented at the breakfast.
Along with the award recognitions, Kentucky Agriculture Commissioner, Jonathan Shell will be the keynote speaker and local students will be awarded the Troy Goode Memorial Scholarship. Milauskas says the Troy Goode Scholarship was established in 202 in a partnership between the Association and the Hopkinsville Rotary Club.
The academic scholarship will support local agriculture students who are working toward furthering their education.
The Association’s breakfast is open to all in the community and those interested in attending can register with the Christian County Chamber of Commerce at 270-885-9096. The breakfast is on March 19 at 7 a.m. at the Silo Event Center and is free to attend.
