CCPS Superintendent talks robotics, construction, graduation

The school year is flying past, and thoughts are turning towards graduation and other future goals for Christian County Public Schools Superintendent Chris Bentzel.

As temperatures warm outside and the days start to get longer, Superintendent Bentzel says they’re already having to consider graduation for their seniors, with the school board set to vote on a graduation date very soon.

He also took the time to brag on the Gateway Academy Vex Robotics team, which are now state champions—he says it shows that Christian County students are excelling in numerous ways, from athletics to academics and everything in between.

People driving by the new Christian County High School out on Fort Campbell Boulevard and Lovers Lane can see evidence of the walls going up, and Bentzel says they’re very pleased with the progress on the construction so far, with big milestones set to take place soon.

Bentzel encouraged parents to go to the district’s website or Facebook page to stay up-to-date on upcoming deadlines and other school announcements, such as registering children for kindergarten and other deadlines.
