Local officials are putting out the call, as a Vietnam Army Veteran is set to be laid to rest Tuesday with no family able to attend the service.
The Chrisitan County Military Affairs Committee says services for U.S. Army SGT David Tipton are set for 11 a.m. Tuesday at Kentucky Veterans Cemetery West.
There are no next of kin available to accept his burial flag, so the community is invited to attend the service in honor of this veteran that called this area home.
