Teen injured, one charged in Princeton vehicle versus pedestrian crash

The Princeton Police Department is investigating after a teenager was struck by a vehicle in the parking lot of Tractor Supply Wednesday. 

According to a news release, it happened around 4:15 p.m. when a 13-year-old victim was walking from the store entrance and was in the crosswalk with she was struck by a vehicle driven by 80-year-old Sherry Nix of Princeton. Nix left the scene prior to police arrival. 

The teen was transported to the Caldwell County Hospital for treatment of apparent injuries.

Nix was issued a citation for leaving the scene of an accident.
