Heritage Christian Academy’s Cruz Egbert tamed the Western Hills Golf Course Friday afternoon and claimed the individual title in the Christian County High School Boys’ Invitational.
The HCA golfer had five birdies on the day on the way to a 3-under-par 69 to win the tournament by two strokes over Marshall County’s Paxton Carter. McCracken County’s Jack Farmery took third with a 71.
The team title went to McCracken County, who shot a score of 295. Madisonville-North Hopkins took second with a 314 and University Heights Academy took third with a 324.
Christian County’s No. 1 team finished fifth with a 343 while the Tigers’ No. 2 team was eighth with a 369.
Todd County Central took ninth with a 381, three shots better than Trigg County, which was 10th.
Nash McAfee led the UHA squad with a 76, while Cal Givens came into the clubhouse at 78. Courtland Gibson finished with an 80 and Luca Torres had a 90. Michael Flynn carded a 90 for the Blazers.
For the Tigers’ No. 1 team, Jackson Crick and Henry Riggs led the way with a pair of 80s. Isaiah Wood finished at 89 while Matt Baker and Sam Riggs shot 94 and 95, respectively.
For the Christian County No. 2 team, Cansler Wells set the pace with an 84. Landyn Holliman (92), Jack Long (95), Aiden Riley (98), and Justin Brown (111) also played for the Tigers.
For Heritage, Sawyer Lixey also played and carded a 106.
