Flood Watch continues through Saturday night

The risk of flooding and a couple of severe storms remains through the bulk of the weekend, with a Flood Watch continuing for all of western Kentucky until late Saturday night.

That includes for Christian, Todd and Trigg Counties, where multiple rounds of thunderstorms, or maybe even training storms, could drop several more inches of rain on already saturated ground. Rapid runoff is likely to occur, which could result in flash flooding.

Any thunderstorms that develop could also carry the risk of damaging winds of up to 60 miles per hour, which would be able to uproot trees and cause scattered power outages.

Rain chances will linger through the weekend, before it looks like we might finally dry out starting Monday.
