A collision between two tractor-trailers on Interstate 24 resulted in injuries and traffic in both directions being impacted Friday afternoon.
According to Hopkinsville Fire and EMS Captain Payton Rogers, the wreck happened in the eastbound lane near mile marker 91 in Oak Grove. At the scene, an adult male in his 40’s had to be extricated from his vehicle and was flown to Skyline Medical Center in Nashville for a severe leg injury.
The wreck occurred in a portion of interstate where only one eastbound and westbound lane is open. Rogers says he expects both lanes in the area to be closed for the next several hours. Along with Hopkinsville EMS, the Oak Grove Fire Department and Christian County Rescue responded to the wreck.
