Barricaded subject incident ends with no injuries, one arrested in Clarksville

An hours long stand-off between the Clarksville Police Department and a barricaded subject on Monroe Street Thursday ended with no injuries and one person in custody.

According to a news release, the incident began with a domestic-related situation at just around midnight Thursday at a residence in the 700 block of Monroe Street. It started with four individuals barricaded in the home, but two individuals were allowed to leave fairly soon after the incident began.

Following several hours of negotiation, the other individual was able to exit the residence around 5 a.m., unharmed. Monroe Street would stay closed until about noon Thursday, nearly twelve hours after it began, when the suspect, 45-year-old Ervin Fead, was safely taken into custody.

He was lodged in the Montgomery County Jail on charges of domestic assault, interference with 911 and violation of probation.
