Deputies from the Christian County Sheriff’s Office arrested 24-year-old Tmya Wilson of Hopkinsville after she reportedly assaulted a female victim on Saturday.
Deputies responded to a residence along Greenville Road for a reported disturbance between two sisters. Wilson allegedly assaulted her sister with a metal Stanley Cup and was keeping her baby from her. The victim reportedly suffered a knot to the left side of her head.
At the scene, the victim reportedly told deputies that Wilson entered the residence and began assaulting her with a Stanley Cup, and while she was defending herself, some of her stitches ripped open. Following the assault, Wilson reportedly locked the victim out of the residence, but kept her child inside.
Wilson reportedly refused to let deputies into the residence and said that they need a search warrant. Deputies then contacted the on-call County Attorney who told them that they could enter the residence without a warrant. Deputies then reportedly broke a window before entering the residence.
Wilson was also reportedly resisting as she was being detained and began yelling at deputies. She was charged with second-degree assault, custodial interference, resisting arrest, second-degree wanton endangerment, third-degree assault of a police officer, obstructing governmental operations and second-degree disorderly conduct.
