Kentucky Public Schools are creating new pathways for job seekers and those transitioning from military service through an upcoming Virtual Career Fair on May 12.
The career fair, scheduled from 3 p.m. to 4:30 p.m., is designed to connect participants with career opportunities in school districts throughout the state.
Organized under the “Patriots to Education” initiative, the fair focuses on supporting military veterans, members of the Kentucky National Guard, reservists and military spouses as they explore second-career options. The program highlights how skills developed through military service such as leadership, teamwork and problem-solving can translate into impactful roles within schools.
Attendees will have the chance to learn about a wide range of positions beyond classroom teaching. Those opportunities span areas such as campus security, skilled trades, transportation and administrative support, offering multiple entry points for individuals with different backgrounds and expertise.
Several districts across Kentucky will be represented, including Carroll County Schools, Christian County Schools, Elizabethtown Independent Schools, Erlanger Independent Schools, Hardin County Schools, Kenton County Schools, Jefferson County Schools, Meade County Schools and Warren County Schools.
Participants can register online through a form linked on the event flyer or by visiting the Patriots to Education website. According to Patriots to Education, the virtual career fair offers a chance for individuals to continue serving their communities in a new capacity, helping shape the next generation while building stable and rewarding careers in Kentucky’s public school system.
