The University Heights Academy track team competed Saturday in the Fast Times at Mayfield meet with both the girls’ and boys’ teams having a good weekend.
In the girls’ meet, Kendall Hancock took home a pair of top five finishes. The junior won the 400-meter dash with a time of 1:04.59, edging teammate Amoree Owen, who took second place in 1:06.18. Hancock also finished third in the 200-meter dash in 28.03.
Emma Flynn also won first place in the 800-meter run in a time of 2:46.10 and the Lady Blazers’ 400-meter relay team took second place in 4:51.23.
Palin Hampton was fourth in the Triple Jump with a leap of 28 feet, 10 inches.
Meanwhile, the Blazers’ team was led by Ronan Croney-Sallie, who grabbed a gold in the 400-meter dash in 56.39. He also was fourth in the 200-meter dash in 24.85 and the Triple Jump with a leap of 37 feet. Jack Conrad took fifth in the Triple Jump with a leap of 31.11.
Jude Finch earned a silver medal in the 3,200-meter run in a time of 11:26.12 and Garrett Bowling took second in the 300-meter hurdles in 50.47. Zech Davis grabbed a bronze medal in the 800-meter run.
The Blazers’ 4×800-meter relay team earned a silver medal with a time of 9:08.83.
