A collision between a passenger car and a tractor-trailer on Interstate 24 resulted in injuries on March 19.
According to the Christian County Sheriff’s Office, Jay Ramage of Murray was traveling west on I-24 near mile-point 74 behind a tractor-trailer operated by Pedro Petit of Florida. Ramage told law enforcement that he dropped his drink on the floor, and after picking it up, he saw that he was on course to hit the trailer and did not have enough time to avoid the collision.
Ramage struck the left rear of the trailer and then his car went off the right side of the roadway. He was transported to Vanderbilt University Medical Center in Nashville for his injuries.
