Firefighters from the Hopkinsville Fire Department extinguished a residence fire on Ashbury Circle Monday afternoon.
At the scene, firefighters reportedly found smoke coming from the home. Once inside, they located the fire in one of the bedrooms and stopped it from spreading further. An adult female resident was reportedly transported to Jennie Stuart Medical for minor burns.
The cause of the blaze is currently under investigation.
