One flown to Skyline following Lafayette Road crash

A Tennessee man was injured in a single-vehicle, roll-over crash on Lafayette Road Wednesday morning.

According to the Christian County Sheriff’s Department, a dump truck operated by 68-year-old Ronald Leffler of Bumpus Mills, Tennessee was heading south in the 14000 block of Lafayette Road when the wreck occurred.

Preliminary investigation determined that the truck crossed the center line for an unknown reason, striking a ditch on the left side of the roadway. Leffler then reportedly overcorrected, which caused the truck to overturn. It came to a stop on its side.

Leffler was flown by helicopter to Skyline Medical Center in Nashville for treatment of injuries.
