After months of rigorous, intense training, a Hopkinsville native has officially earned his Blue Angels Crest.
Devin Mosley joins the ranks of the Blue Angels, earning his crest on Friday of last week. The Blue Angels are the flight demonstration squadron of the United States Navy, and was established in 1946 to demonstrate the refined combat maneuvers of the Naval Operations. The Blue Angels are an elite crew of pilots that perform aerobatic feats across the nation.
Mosley earned the Maintenance Crest, completing months of training including becoming experts in all facets of squadron history, procedures and traditions. It is considered an elite process and the final rite of passage for a Blue Angles maintainer. Mosley and his team members play a vital role in keeping the Blue Angels jets flight-ready.
While a lot of the light often shines on the pilots of the program, what they do wouldn’t be possible without the fierce dedication and work by the team that keeps them flight-worthy.
