Voice of love and support, Ann Isom has passed away

The community is in mourning, after learning that local advocate for health and wellness, and long-time supporter of those battling breast cancer, Ann Isom, has passed away at the age of 70.

Isom has been a voice of love and support for many years through the Pink Ribbon Network. The network is a local breast cancer support group that offers multiple avenues of assistance to those with the disease such as financial support, companionship with others who have had the disease as well as encouragement and emotional support, and Isom has been right there with them since 2007.

As of Friday morning, Isom’s Facebook page was filled with messages of love and grief, with many writers talking of how she helped them in their own battles with cancer, how she helped carry them one step at a time.

At a meeting with the Kiwanis Club of Hopkinsville in 2023, Isom detailed what the Pink Ribbon Network is all about, saying she and others involved were here to offer support to all battling with cancer.

Isom was also a legal assistant to Ben Fletcher and was the office manger for Fletcher Law Firm. She was a Qualified National Marketing Director with Juice Plus and was a member of 100 Women Who Care.

Funeral services will be 1 p.m. Monday at New Work Fellowship, with visitations set for Sunday from 3 p.m. until 6 p.m. and Monday from 11 a.m. until the funeral hour at the church. Hughart, Beard and Giles Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.

In lieu of flowers, folks can make memorial contributions in Isom’s honor to the Pink Ribbon Network.
