Vehicular homicide suspect receives amended bond conditions

Vehicular homicide suspect Isaiah Edwards appeared in Christian County Circuit Court on Wednesday where his bond conditions were amended.

Edwards is charged with two counts of vehicular homicide while under the influence of drugs and one count of operating a motor vehicle while under the influence of a substance after he reportedly struck two bicyclists with his car on May 5, 2025 resulting in their deaths.

Edwards is currently out on bond as he awaits trial, and his defense attorney, Olivia Adams, requested changes to his bond conditions. She requested that his drug testing be reduced from two times per week and for his ankle monitor to be removed.

Assistant Commonwealth’s Attorney Mark Gilbert opposed removing the drug testing conditions of the bond, but agreed to have Edwards undergo less frequent testing.

Circuit Judge Andrew Self lowered Edwards testing to one time per week, but said the ankle monitor should remain.

Edwards is set to reappear in court on March 25.
