A home on Greenville Road was damaged in fire Tuesday morning, with the circumstances of the blaze under investigation.
Hopkinsville Fire and EMS Captain Payton Rogers tells WHOP News that crews responded to the area of Jago Road and Greenville Road for reports, where callers had reported seeing smoke coming from a home. Upon arrival, firefighters located an active fire coming from the single-bedroom home.
They worked quickly to extinguish the blaze, and no one was injured in the incident.
Preliminary investigation points towards the cause being from a supplemental heat source that unintentionally sparked the fire.
