A pair of Hopkinsville High School football players have made their college decisions.
Hopkinsville High School Head Football Coach Dustin Lopez told WHOP Wednesday afternoon that running back/safety James Bradley Jr. has committed to Georgetown College.
Bradley earned All-Western Kentucky Conference First-Team honors after helping the Tigers to a 7-5 season in 2025.
The 6-foot, 200-pounder rushed for 1,466 yards and 25 touchdowns on 211 attempts his senior season. He also caught 19 passes for 398 yards and six touchdowns.
Early in the season, Bradley also played quarterback and 7-of-17 for 133 yards and two scores.
Defensively, Bradley had 45 tackles and intercepted one pass, which he returned 78 yards for a touchdown. Bradley also had a pick-six of 88 yards as a junior.
For his career, Bradley finished with 290 carries for 1,919 yards and 27 touchdowns. As a receiver, Bradley caught 63 passes for 862 yards and 11 scores. On defense, Bradley finished with 116 tackles with two interceptions.
One of the reasons for Bradley’s success was offensive lineman Kavon Johnson.
Lopez said Johnson has committed to play college football next season at Lindsey Wilson.
Johnson, a 5-11, 185-pound center, was a three-year starter for the Tigers and earned All-WKC Honorable Mention as a senior. He also played defensive tackle for Hoptown and recorded 34 tackles, including seven for a loss during his senior season.
For his career, Johnson had 51 tackles with eight tackles for a loss.
