The Hopkinsville Police Department has released details on a fatal crash that occurred on Skyline Drive early Friday morning.
According to the police report, it happened just after midnight in the westbound lanes directly in front of Hopkinsville Fire Department Station Two on Skyline Drive. A vehicle driven by 40-year-old April R. Harris of Hopkinsville was heading east in the westbound lanes for an unknown reason when it collided head-on with another vehicle operated by 40-year-old Christopher Gardner of Hopkinsville.
Harris was pronounced deceased at the scene by the Christian County Coroner’s Office—the report states she was not wearing a seat belt. Gardner was not injured in the crash.
