Hopkinsville Police arrested 33-year-old James Himmelhaver after he reportedly assaulted a woman and prevented her from leaving the scene on Tuesday.
According to a report, officers responded to a location on Sivley Road concerning the incident. Himmelhaver had reportedly prevented the victim from leaving a room by throwing her to the ground each time she attempted to leave.
The victim reportedly suffered physical injuries including bruising under both eyes and another bruise toward the corner of her right eye. Himmelhaver was charged with second-degree assault and kidnapping with serious physical injuries.
