A real “Christmas Morning Miracle” as HPD delivers gifts to kids in need in the community

Santa Claus shared a little bit of his Christmas magic with the Hopkinsville Police Department, as they delivered toys and gifts to families and children across the city for their Christmas Morning Miracle program.

Christmas Morning Miracle has been put on by the Hopkinsville Police Department for several years, thanks to numerous partnerships in the community, and during a recent Chat with the Chief, Police Chief Jason Newby says this is something they look forward to doing every year.

He says they were able to help provide gifts to roughly 30 kids through Christmas Morning Miracle, and he’s very grateful to the community for their donations and support of families right here in this community.

Officers patrolling in the community identify families in need throughout the year and then on Christmas Day, deliver presents and other needed items, often taking time away from their own families for just a moment, to spread Christmas cheer and giving in the community.

Chief Newby says he’s proud to see the spirit of giving that exists in the hearts of those in this community, saying it really highlights what this time of year is all about.
