Apollo pulled away in the fourth quarter to knock off host Hopkinsville 62-53 Tuesday night in a girls’ high school basketball game.
The Lady Tigers only trailed 40-36 entering the final quarter, but Emerson Bullington scored eight of her game-high 24 points to help the E-Gals (1-3) outscore Hoptown 22-17 in the period.
Laelah Watkins led Hopkinsville with 12 points.
The Lady Tigers fall to 0-3 on the season and return to action Thursday night at home against Caldwell County at 5:30 p.m. in the Toyota of Hopkinsville Classic. Airtime for the game will be 5:15 on 95.3 The Farm and 953thefarm.com.
