We’re officially in the home stretch towards Christmas, and Jeffers’ Bend Environmental Center is getting the season started off right with Christmas at the Bend set for this weekend.
On December 6 from 11 a.m. until 1 p.m., children and their families are invited to Jeffers’ Bend—located on Metcalfe Lane in Hopkinsville—where organizer Diane Croney-Turner says they can get pictures with Santa, make their own all-natural bird-feeders, make Christmas cards that will go to local nursing homes, and much more, while having plenty of snacks.
There will be drawings for prizes starting at 12:45 p.m. and Croney-Turner says the show will go on rain-or-shine, with admission set at $5 per car.Â
Organizer Charles Turner thanked their sponsors that help make all their events happen, saying that Jeffers’ Bend has been a part of this community for many years, and they want to see that go on for a long time to come.
