Jeffers’ Bend invites community to Christmas at the Bend this weekend

We’re officially in the home stretch towards Christmas, and Jeffers’ Bend Environmental Center is getting the season started off right with Christmas at the Bend set for this weekend.

On December 6 from 11 a.m. until 1 p.m., children and their families are invited to Jeffers’ Bend—located on Metcalfe Lane in Hopkinsville—where organizer Diane Croney-Turner says they can get pictures with Santa, make their own all-natural bird-feeders, make Christmas cards that will go to local nursing homes, and much more, while having plenty of snacks.

There will be drawings for prizes starting at 12:45 p.m. and Croney-Turner says the show will go on rain-or-shine, with admission set at $5 per car.

Organizer Charles Turner thanked their sponsors that help make all their events happen, saying that Jeffers’ Bend has been a part of this community for many years, and they want to see that go on for a long time to come.
