A home on South Kentucky Avenue was damaged by a fire Tuesday night.
The Hopkinsville Fire Department responded to the 100 block of South Kentucky around 9 p.m. after a caller noticed dense smoke in the area and called for help. Firefighters arrived on the scene within three minutes and found a home with heavy smoke coming from the roof.
The home was vacant at the time of the fire, but a small apartment behind the home was occupied. No one was injured in the blaze, and firefighters were able to get it under control.
The cause of the fire is under investigation.
