Christian County Judge-Executive Jerry Gilliam has made it official that he will be running for re-election to the county’s top seat in 2026.
In a news release, Judge Gilliam says it’s been an honor to serve the people of Christian County for the past seven years, and three of those have been as Judge-Executive—he says it would be a privilege to continue serving in that role, so he does intend to file his paperwork to seek re-election. He says there’s still work to be done, including making progress on the county’s strategic plan that was enacted in 2023.
He says, over the past three years, the county has increased communication and collaboration with community partners, including five incorporated cities and other rural communities, and he’s proud to have seen the property tax rate be lowered three times. He says he remains committed to strengthening relationships with Fort Campbell and planning for future growth across the county.
Gilliam says, “I thank God every day for the opportunity to serve, and I pray that we continue to lead with a servant’s heart. I humbly ask for your support to continue what we’ve started and to keep Christian County moving in the right direction.”
