Local bowlers compete in Early Region 1 Tourney

Local bowlers competed in the Early Region 1 Tournament Saturday in Mayfield.

In the Girls’ Division, Heritage Christian Academy’s Braelyn Windle and her sister, Alayna Windle, earned top-10 individual finishes.

Braelyn Windle rolled a 527 series to finish fourth overall and Alayna Windle rolled a 511, which was eighth.

In the Boys’ Division, Christian County finished eighth in the 17-team standings with an overall score of 3,081 and Heritage Christian Academy was 10th with 2,767. Hopkinsville finished 14th with a 2,335.

Jaxson Hall led the Colonels with a 566 three-games series and a high game of 230. Hall finished 17th overall.

Christian Lane had a 554 to take 22nd and Michael DeArmond was 38th with a 465 series. Others bowling for the Colonels included Brycen Newcom (41st, 442), and Kane DeGiulio (48th, 406).

For HCA, Cameron Oesch was the top Warrior scorer with a 542 series, which was 26th overall. Nick Pyle finished 45th with a 431 and Jacob Engel took 69th with a 287.

Hoptown was paced by Kyle Bauman with a 518 series and a high game of 257, which was the highest game bowled in the tournament. Bauman finished 33rd overall.

Caleb Martinez rolled a 393 series and finished 50th. Other Tigers competing included Renegade Watkins (63rd, 321), Kamdyn Sharp (66th, 303), and Chaisen White (70th, 282).

The Hoptown and Christian County teams will go against HCA on Nov. 18 at Southern Lanes.
