Trick-or-Treaters take over South Main Street in downtown Hopkinsville

The week might have started out wet and gloomy, but all of that cleared up in time for Hopkinsville Parks and Recreation’s Downtown Halloween Trick-or-Treating on Friday.

South Main Street was crowded with kiddos dressed in their costumes, on the hunt for candy. Parks and Recreation Superintendent Toby Hudson says they had an amazing turnout and was excited seeing so many trick-or-treaters in the downtown area.

This year’s downtown trick-or-treating footprint was expanded to include a portion of East 9th Street from South Main Street to Virginia Street. Hudson says they expanded so that more organizations could be included and give out some candy.

Around 30 organizations were giving out candy. To stay up to date on events hosted by Parks and Recreation, visit them on Facebook at Hopkinsville Parks and Recreation.
