The Girls’ Region 2 Soccer Tournament draw was held Friday morning. The tournament will begin on Saturday at University Heights Academy.
District 8 champion and tournament host UHA (16-2-1) will take on District 6 runner-up Webster County (4-11) at 11 a.m.
The second game of first session will feature District 7 champion Madisonville-North Hopkins (12-7) against District 5 runner-up Crittenden County (7-10-1) at 1 p.m.
In the evening session, District 5 champion Trigg County (15-3-2) will face District 8 runner-up Fort Campbell (7-8) at 5 p.m. The second game of the evening session will feature District 6 champion Henderson County (13-8) against District 7 runner-up Hopkins County Central (13-3).
The semifinals are scheduled for 5:30 p.m. and 7:30 p.m. Monday night and the championship will be at 6 p.m. Wednesday night.
All games will be played at Givens Field at UHA, which has new LED lights that were installed earlier this week.
Tickets are $10 and will be available at the gate. Fans will be asked to leave after Saturday’s first session and pay again if they are planning to attend the evening session.
