CCPS announces consolidated CCHS administrative team

Seven familiar names in the Christian County Public School System were announced as the administrative team for the consolidated Christian County High School on Thursday.

CCPS educators and staff gathered at the consolidated high school to meet the school’s newly selected principals and administrators. High School Executive Principal Ken Carver introduced his administrative team and described them as a group of individuals who bring a deep passion for serving students and having a lasting impact on them.

First, Carver introduced the principals who will lead the four academies: the Freshman Success Academy; the Health and Community Services Academy; the Business, Engineering and Manufacturing Academy and the Agriculture and Skilled Trades Academy.

Lacey Ramirez was announced as the principal of the Freshman Success Academy. She currently serves as the head principal of Sinking Fork Elementary School and has worked in CCPS since 2008. Ramirez calls it an honor to be selected for the position and says the community can be confident in her ability to prepare freshmen for the rest of their high school careers.

Arnelle Lynch-Wesley was announced as the principal of the Health and Community Services Academy. She currently serves as the head principal of the Virtual Learning Academy and began her career with CCPS in 2007. Lynch-Wesley says she is truly grateful to be a part of such a dynamic team that is committed to preparing students for academic and career success.

 Joseph Riley was announced as the principal of the Business, Engineering and Manufacturing Academy. He currently serves as an assistant principal at Hopkinsville High School and began his career with CCPS in 2007. Riley says he looks forward to putting together his staff and seeing the high school open next year.

Then, Cindy Campbell was announced as the principal of the Agriculture and Skilled Trades Academy. Campbell currently serves as the principal of Hopkinsville High School and has worked in CCPS for 29 years. Campbell thanked the students for the dedication and determination which inspired the academy model, and she says she looks forward to helping them succeed in any career path they choose.

Carver then announced the three school-wide administrative principals. Kristen Lindsey was announced as the student services administrator. She currently serves as the principal of Christian County Middle School and has worked with CCPS since 2006. Lindsey says she looks forward to helping create a school environment where every student is supported and challenged.

Megan Kem was announced as the instruction administrator. She currently serves as the principal of Christian County High School and has worked in CCPS for 18 years. Kem says they are not just creating lesson plans, but shaping lives, and is excited to be a part of the team that brings the school to life.

Lastly, Jonathan King was announced as the operations administrator. He currently serves as an assistant principal at Hopkinsville High School and has worked in CCPS since 2015. King thanked Bentzel for supporting his journey as an educator and says he looks forward to working with the academy principals and his fellow administrators.

Carver also spotlighted Sandra Hancock, who is also a part of his administrative team. She was announced as the academy coach in August. The consolidated Christian County High School is set to open in August 2026.
