Bluegrass Splash Family Aquatic Center will be closed temporarily on Saturday and Sunday, to address a leak that was discovered on Thursday.
According to a news release, the weekend closure is to ensure safety of guests as repairs are made, with city officials and maintenance crews having assessed the situation and beginning necessary repairs as quickly as possible.
Parks and Recreation Superintendent Toby Hudson says, “We understand this may be disappointing for families planning to visit this weekend. Our top priority is the safety and enjoyment of our guests, and we’re committed to reopening as soon as possible.”
Bluegrass Splash is already closed during the week, but intends to be open for the final weekend of the season, running from August through September, just in time for Labor Day.
