University Heights Academy’s golf team took third place Thursday in the Trigg County Invitational at Boots Randolph Golf Course.
The Blazers brought two teams to the event with its “A” Team shooting a 334. Marshall County won the event with a 299 and South Warren was second with a 324.
Cal Givens led the Blazers with an 81 and Nash McAfee had an 82.
Hayden Hunt (85), Hugh Sisk (86), and Courtland Gibson (86) also played for the Blazers’ “A” squad.
For UHA’s “B” Team, Waylon Johnson led the way with a 95 and Jackson Crick had a 96 as the team shot a 387.
Cody Robinson (97), Max Falco (99), and Will Nahlik (116) also played for UHA in the event.
Stewart County High School’s Hayden Howell won the event in a scorecard playoff with Marshall County’s Ryan Stokes. Both players shot a 73 on the day.
