The Go Series Southern Championship youth golf tournament was held Thursday at the Hopkinsville Golf and Country Club.
Several Christian County youths played in the tournament including Ella Perry, who won the Girls’ 11-12-year-old division and Oliver Moore, who tied for first, but took third in a scorecard playoff in the Boys’ 9-10-year-old division. Tyler McClain also tied with a 27 through the nine holes and finished as the First Flight winner.
Cole Crick shot a near record 37 over nine holes to win the Boys 11-12-year-old division. The record for the 9-hole Go Series is 35 set by Landon Hunt, who won the Boys 16-18-year-old division yesterday with a 66 through 18 holes. That score was good enough to tie a Go Series record.
Crick also finished as the Go Southern Series runner-up.
Will Nahlik was third overall and won the First Flight in the Boys’ 11-12-year-old division with a 50 through nine holes
In the Boys’ 13-15-year-old division, Hopkinsville’s Cody Robinson finished seventh
Harper Hunt also won the Girls’ 13-15-year-old division with an 83 through 18 holes.
Campbell Lindsey took third in the Girls’ 16-18-year-old division with a 92.
In the Boys’ 16-18-year-old division, Lucas Rambo shot a 78, Drew Fincham had an 80, Henry Riggs had an 88, Ryan Martin carded a 91, Sam Riggs had a 93, and Alex Cook finished with a 94. Fincham also was the 4th Flight winner.
