A Hopkinsville teenager was injured in a single-vehicle crash on Johnson Mill Road in northern Christian County early Tuesday morning.
According to the report from the Christian County Sheriff’s Department, it happened in the 6900 block of Johnson Mill at approximately 5:45 a.m. when a northbound vehicle that was operated by the teenage driver left the roadway due to driver fatigue.Â
The vehicle traveled along a ditch for roughly 300 feet before it struck a utility pole guide wire, where it went airborne for another 50 feet. When the vehicle hit the ground, it flipped, ejecting the victim.
The victim was found laying on his back in the grass with injuries to his neck and chest. He was transported to Jennie Stuart Medical Center for treatment of injuries.
