McGee called back up to Milwaukee Brewers

For the third time this season, former Hopkinsville High School pitcher Easton McGee is back in the big leagues.

According to CBS Sports, the 6-foot-6 right-hander was recalled by the Milwaukee Brewers from Triple-A Nashville on Tuesday.

The former Tiger pitched on Wednesday night against the New York Mets and pitched one inning. He gave up one hit, one earned run, two walks and no strikeouts.

McGee previously has made two appearances for the Brewers this season, yielding one run with four strikeouts and one walk over four innings. He has an ERA of 2.25 this season.

McGee figures to give Brewers’ manager Pat Murphy a fresh bullpen arm.
