The Hopkinsville Fire Department recently announced the promotion of department members Marty Bangart, Josh Buxton and Kris Perry.
Captain Bangart was promoted to the Chief of Training and will now be responsible for training firefighters and leading the department’s Fire Academy. Bangart joined the department in 2008 after serving in the U.S. Army.
Lieutenant Buxton was promoted to serve as the District 1 Captain of Battalion 3. Buxton joined the department in 2006 serving as a firefighter and paramedic.
Firefighter and Advanced EMT Perry was promoted to the rank of lieutenant and will serve with Battalion 2 at Station 4. Perry joined the department in 2018. Â
