Full Count scores late, holds off Hoppers, 8-6

Full Count scored twice in the top of the ninth inning without recording a hit and held off the host Hoptown Hoppers 8-6 Monday night at Christian County High School.

The Rhythm (3-0) took a 2-0 lead in the top of the third and pushed the lead to 4-0 on a two-run homer by John Paul Head in the sixth inning.Head slammed a pair of home runs and drove in five RBI to lead the Rhythm.

Hoptown answered with a pair of runs in the bottom of the sixth as Caldwell led off with a single and came in to score after a single by Trigg Couny High School’s Aidon Butts. The ball was misplayed allowing Chance Sweeney to score and cut the lead to 4-2.
