Before the ink had dried and the buzz from LaShanti Wilson’s signing with Volunteer State Monday afternoon in a signing ceremony in Tiger Gym, Pioneers assistant coach Christopher Moses had more good news to announce.
Moses, who has basketball connections with Hopkinsville and Clarksville areas, told WHOP sports that former Hoptown star Kahtahvia Fleming has committed to Vol State.
Fleming, who graduated in 2024, signed last season with Lewis and Clark Community College. Moses said she left the school and he recruited her to Vol State where she will play with her former Hoptown teammate, Wilson.
Fleming was a key member of the Lady Tigers’ squad that was District 8 champions and a Region 2 semifinalist in 2023-24. She averaged 11.3 points and 5.3 rebounds during her senior year at Hopkinsville.
