A Crofton man was injured in a single-vehicle, fiery crash that happened near the nine-mile-marker of the Edward Breathitt Parkway Thursday evening.
According to the collision report from the Christian County Sheriff’s Department, a vehicle was being driven by 20-year-old Xander Mills of Crofton when he reportedly dozed off behind the wheel. The vehicle went off the roadway, hitting a street sign, two utility barrels and a light pole, before going into an embankment and hitting a rock wall.
The wall caused the vehicle to overturn and fall approximately 20 feet into a ditch.
Mills was trapped and was freed from the vehicle just before it caught fire.
He was transported to Jennie Stuart Medical Center for treatment of multiple injuries.
