KYTC to temporarily close I-24 lane for shoulder repairs in Trigg County

One of the eastbound lanes of Interstate 24 in Trigg County will be closed starting Wednesday while the Kentucky Transportation Cabinet and Trigg County Highway Crews repair the road shoulder.

Crews will repair a shoulder drop-off that has developed in the area of mile markers 68 and 69 which is where traffic traveling east will be restricted to one lane. The cabinet urges motorists to be alert for signs and trucks directing traffic in the area.

The lane restriction should be lifted by Friday depending on the weather.
