The Kentucky Transportation Cabinet has established a daytime work zone for eastbound traffic along U.S. 68-KY 80 in the Land Between the Lakes National Recreation Area.
According to a news release, the work zone between U.S. 68 -KY 80 at the Trigg County line and the five-mile marker is to allow for roadside mechanized brush cutting. This is along U.S. 68-KY 80 between Eggners Ferry Bridge and the Golden Pond area of Land Between the Lakes.
The work zone will be up along about a one-mile section of the highway during daylight hours with the location moving eastward over the next week. Traffic will be moved to the left-hand lane in this zone.
Once work is completed along the eastbound lanes, the crew will move to the westbound lanes at Golden Pond and work their way back towards Eggners Ferry Bridge.
